Something New At This Year’s Spring Release Events!

The First Annual Naramata Bench Red Blend Debuts.

 
This year the Bench is launching it’s First Annual Naramata Bench Red Blend wine and it will be available at the events in Vancouver and Victoria.

To produce this exceptional blended wine expressing the taste of the Naramata Bench terroir, five winemakers of the Naramata Bench have come together and chosen wine components to create the first of what will be an annual blend - the result of tasting and sharing knowledge.

This year a Bordeaux blend has been produced composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The component wines are from Hillside Estate Winery, La Frenz Winery, Lake Breeze Vineyards, Laughing Stock Vineyards and Soaring Eagle Winery.   

 
Announcing The Restaurants at our Spring Release Events.  

In Vancouver the restaurants are are Miku, Vij’s, Goldfish, Wild Rice, Pair Bistro, So.cial at Le Magasin, and from the Bench -  the Naramata Heritage Inn and Hillside Winery Barrel Room Bistro.

In Victoria‚ Chef Brad Horen at the Inn at Laurel Point will create delightful and varied pairings to complement the Spring Releases being poured to the sounds of live music in the beautiful Terrace Ballroom.

The Naramata Bench Spring Release events are more than just the opportunity to be the first to taste our exquisite Spring release wines paired with fabulous food - it is a chance to participate in our Annual Silent and Live Auctions.

In addition to the opportunity to take home 3L magnums of the new Naramata Bench Red Blend, this is the only time to get the coveted “Best of the Bench” collection case of wines.  In addition to these exclusives the Spring Release events boast auction items including: sold out award-winning and elusive wines; stays in Naramata at Lake Breeze Winery Cottage‚ Therapy Vineyard‚ Howling Bluff‚ D´Angelo‚ Black Widow and the Elephant Island Treehouse; behind the scenes and meet the winemaker opportunities; a cooking class with Vij’s for 10 at Laughing Stock Vineyards with a personalized tour; sailing on Okanagan Lake;  Art (including our own Spring Release posters); and much more.

Recipients of partial proceeds from the auctions are the Vancouver Art Gallery in Vancouver and the Belfry Theatre in Victoria.  So have fun bidding, stock your cellar and support these arts organizations.
