Gene Covert has been busy this spring planting our new field of sauvignon blanc and pinot noir. He has also added roses and blackberry bushes on the outer perimeter of the field to attract a natural predator that will help us keep leaf hopper at bay. Between each plant we have left the ground cover crop grow, here in this photos is a wild alfalfa that is blooming. We continue through organic and biodynamic management to build an environment that welcomes friendly beneficials that help to balance the surroundings in which the vine grows. |
